Our Take: Guests don't mind being a few miles from the beach while staying at the Four Seasons Resort Lana'i, The Lodge at Koele—mostly because the resort's inland location puts visitors close to Lanai Town and some of the island's top things to do. Many remark on the rugged yet relaxed feel of this Four Seasons property, which looks more like a country estate than a typical Hawaiian resort. Sunbathers are more than happy to sun soak by the sizable pool area or take the short shuttle ride to the resort's sister property, Manele Bay. (Visitors are welcome to indulge in the amenities offered at either property.) Reportedly, accommodating staff members treat visitors like royalty, and the concierge is quick to arrange a rental jeep, a golf outing, or a horseback riding excursion for your pleasure.
